Distancify has built Jaktia’s new storefront in Qwik. The project brings a broad product range, many product choices and connections to physical stores into an experience shaped around speed and clarity.
A customer might arrive at Jaktia with an exact product name or a question about which equipment is right for them. The site needs to help both move forward. Product information, choices and availability need to appear at the right point in the shopping journey. The storefront has to guide the visitor clearly while working with the systems behind it.
Find. Choose. Move forward.
The knowledge in Jaktia’s stores is an important part of the customer experience. The ambition is to bring that same clarity online: customers should understand their options and feel confident about the next step.
This matters particularly when a product has several variants or a customer wants to know what is available in a particular store. A small choice on the screen can require several pieces of information to be retrieved and brought together.
“Customers should be able to concentrate on choosing the right product. It should be easy to understand what is available and how to move forward with a purchase.”
Speed throughout the visit.
Distancify chose Qwik for Jaktia’s storefront, with careful attention to how content and data load and how the interface responds when a customer makes a choice.
The experience needs to remain fluid after a page has opened. Customers should be able to explore products, change selections and continue towards a purchase without losing their place.
The framework is one technical decision. The work also includes the design of each feature, the handling of dependencies and the information a visitor needs at every step.
“We have put a lot of care into what happens when the customer starts using the page. It is in the product choices and the steps through the shopping journey that the whole solution needs to hold together.”
Many moving parts. One clear answer.
When a customer changes a product variant, the image, product information and availability all need to refer to the same selection. The interface also needs to make it clear when information is still loading or an option is unavailable.
This is the kind of engineering that can be difficult to see in a finished site. Its value is that a customer can make a decision and continue without needing to understand what is happening behind the screen.
“Distancify has helped us turn our needs into a site that is easier to use. They have been able to explain what different solutions mean and suggest how we should move forward.”
Built to keep evolving.
The new storefront is part of Jaktia’s wider e-commerce initiative. This story focuses on Distancify’s work on the customer-facing experience and the technical decisions that shape it.
It gives Jaktia a storefront to develop as its range, customer behaviour and business needs change. Further improvements can be guided by how customers actually use the site and where the next change will make the greatest difference.
